week 3

Still seeing improvements in strength but not much in weight loss.  My diet has been great.  I'm pushing the veggies and whole foods.  I had a injury to my foot that slowed me down.  I rested a couple of days and then I've switched it up to work more on upper body and core work to give my foot a little more time.  I'm thinking I may try to blog 2 times a week and post pictures at each of the 30 day marks.

Day 8

My days are getting off.  I should be saying workout #8 or training 8 oh well.  Cardio X today.  I didn't workout on Friday or Saturday.  We had a big party for Vivian on Friday with 12 college students spending the night.  I crashed out on Saturday.  Today my body felt great but I could tell I needed to get back to it.  I was not sore anymore and that was a good thing but it also stressed me out.  I did the full workout, only having to pause it once.  My goal for the week week is to keep up with my workouts and hopefully see some weight loss by the end of the week.

I also was listening to the Splendid Table on the radio.  The person they were interviewing who was a vegan said to keep a food journal and keep track of what you eat and how it tastes and how it makes you feel.  He said that way you will know what types of foods to avoid and which to eat more of.  I know it sounds basic but if you know the pizza at Chuck-e-Cheese makes you feel like a tired blob, maybe spring for the salad bar at the birthday party you're at.  Maybe that will be one of my goals for that week. To be more reflective about what I am eating and how it makes me feel.

Day 7

Core training today.  Man am I sore.  I took a day to rest yesterday and only did a little ab work.  I feel stronger everyday.  It's all good.

Day 6

Yoga X - Still no weight loss this morning - I think my body is in shock.  I am so sore and stiff.  I do notice that I am already so much stronger and can do more push ups.  Everything is much firmer too.  I skipped the ab ripper.  My abs are still so sore from the other workouts I had a hard time with some of the yoga poses.

Day 5

Today was legs, shoulders and ab ripper x.  I cheated and only did the 45 minutes of legs and shoulders and skipped the ab ripper.  I will add it to my yoga x workout tomorrow.  I had book club after work today and needed to get dinner going before Chad had to go into pottery.
Today Vivian and I made homemade pizza with a wholewheat crust and organic mozzarella cheese, chicken and fresh peppers.  It was a team effort to get the pizza from the counter to the heated pizza stone.  It may not have looked pretty but it sure tasted good.   We are trying to eat with more core foods.  We'll see how that goes.  It will mean changing the way I cook and meal plan.    I'm up for it.

Day 4

I'm still kickin'  Today was Kempo X.  I kicked some butt.  I'm not sure who I was taking it out on but it was fun.  You better watch out for me when I'm finished with this program.  I'm going to be kick'n butt and taking names.  (I have no idea what that means, I'm in so much pain and I'm so damn tired right now)  I'm going to bed

Day 3

I brought it!  Arms and Shoulders plus Ab ripper X.  It kicked my butt this morning.  I don't think going out last night helped.  I did skip yesterdays workout, but I had an interview after work and then had dinner plans and there really was no time to fit in a workout.  My plan is to not take the day 7 rest day and just work right through.  
I love the arm workouts!  This seems like the type of workout for me.  I like to feel strong.  I hate Ab work!  I'm sure it will get better but I am still hurtin from the last couple of days.  I could only do about 15 of the 25 reps of all the moves he wanted us to do.
